This summer, Pastor Jason is going on a 3-month sabbatical at Wellspring Church. But what exactly is a sabbatical? The word 'sabbatical' is derived from the word Sabbath and represents a dedicated time for rest and connection with God. So, from July 2nd through October 1st, Pastor Jason will be MIA (missing in action).
You might be wondering, what does that mean for Wellspring Church? Well, this summer, Pastor Graeme and the Elder team will be stepping in for Pastor Jason, and we have some really exciting things planned. First of all, over the next several weeks, we will be hosting a variety of guest preachers. Alongside Pastor Graeme, we will have Juan Mendez, former Director of the Colony of Mercy at America's Keswick, Jordan Arce, Student Pastor at Lifegate Church, Gary Casaletto, Next Gen Pastor of Liquid Church, Bill Welte, President & CEO of America’s Keswick, and that's just to name a few! We are confident that you will be blessed by their teachings this summer.
But that's not all! We are also launching Summer Reset, a moment to pause some things and start new ones this summer. Starting in July, we will be taking a break from Monday night experiences, Life Groups, and Well Youth. However, don't worry, this is only temporary for the summer. In addition, we are starting a brand new church-wide group on Wednesday evenings, led by Pastor Graeme and Heather. The first study in this group will be "Don't Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table" by Louie Giglio, followed by "The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry" by John Mark Comer. Everyone is welcome to join these studies, and we believe you will be challenged and encouraged by them.
In summary, this summer Pastor Jason is going on a sabbatical, Pastor Graeme is stepping in, and we're having a summer reset! We pray that you will join us over the summer as we lean into all that God has for us. We are confident that you will be encouraged along the way. The mission isn't stopping this summer, and God is still working in Toms River. Will you join us? Let's go!
