What is Church membership?

Ephesians 2 - 18 For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. 19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone,

Church membership is the covenant people of God that make up Wellspring Church! Membership is more than attending services or adding your name to a list; it is a commitment to live as a spiritual family on mission together. The church is not an organization, it is an organism of people who the sriptures call "Living Stones" that build up a spiritual house that is a temple for the presence of God! Our members at Wellspring are commited to the mission of the gospel through Wellspring ! This is where attendees become part of the family! 

We ask our church members to commit to 3 things: 

1. Believe
We believe the gospel of Jesus Christ and align ourselves with the core beliefs and mission of Wellspring Church. We’re not a random crowd — we are a people shaped by the truth of God’s Word and the power of the Holy Spirit.

2. Belong
We commit to belonging to this church family — showing up, building relationships, walking in unity, and caring for one another. We believe spiritual growth happens in the context of community, not isolation.

3. Build
We partner to build — using our time, treasure, and talents to advance the mission of Jesus through Wellspring. We move from being consumers to contributors — helping to shape the Jersey Shore through the local Church!
