Starting a Bayville Campus

Bayville Campus

D.B.A. Pizza Church!

Ok, you’ve mentioned Pizza Church and a Bayville Campus, what is actually going on? With a long-term plan to begin branching out beyond our four walls into other communities, we are going to creatively start in January 2022. Why?

We’ve got a problem within our community…

We’ve got a problem within our community when the Todds of this world work Sunday to Thursday for 30 years. We’ve got a problem when our own Diane Baca, a nurse, works every other weekend leading to twice a month church attendance at best. We’ve got a problem when society has abandoned Sundays as a day of rest putting the Coaches in a situation to pick either church or sports. Instead of either/or, why can’t we the church help our people find a both/and? Yes, if it is an either/or faith wins every time. At least it should.

We can’t do anything about the above because…

We don’t have the worship team to expand.

We don’t have the kids ministry to expand.

We don’t have long-term sustainable finances to expand.

We don’t have the preachers to expand.

We don’t have a great location to expand permanently.

We can if…

I'm not asking our church to go down a road of “we can’t because…” I am asking our church to dream starting with, “We can if…”

Does church have to be three songs, a sermon and a closing song? Does church have to include the ministries where we lack volunteers right now? Church the way we have always done it, is that the only way to reach the aforementioned people?

What if we valued fellowship as much as we value worship through song? What if we stripped it all the way back and modelled the Sermon on the Mount? What if we let simplicity truly drive excellence and mission drive our methods?

What if we found a sustainable way of doing church for over a year with the money we currently have in the bank (our church planting and campus fund) without overwhelming our current budget?

Sunday evenings, at the Bayville firehall, pizza and then the Word of God taking people deeper with all the systems we currently have in place. It’s different not for different’s sake, it’s different to reach people no one else is reaching.

Potential order of service:

  • 4:30-5:25 // Set up
  • 5:25-5:35 // Volunteer updates
  • 5:35 // “Blessing of the food” and volunteers in position
  • 6-6:20 // EAT with a focus from the volunteers on engagement!
  • 6:20-6:25 // Announcements / Spiritual moment (prayer, communion, baptism, testimony, etc)
  • 6:25-6:58 // Sermon (same as Sunday mornings in Toms River)
  • 6:58-7 // Closing announcements
  • 7-7:45 // Breakdown

*** Kids in attendance to be given a preloaded tablet with Bible based, kid-friendly apps.

This is how we will start a campus in another community to the best of our current abilities. The prayer is that this will become a full-fledged campus with a Sunday morning offering eventually. But for now, why not give this a go?

Three ways to get involved:

  • Take a portion of your half day of prayer to pray over this endeavor.
  • Volunteer to make this happen. Could you serve with Guest Experience (parking, aisle host, etc)? Could you help set up and break down? Email Pastor Jason at Jason@wellspring.one.
  • Hit up our Amazon Wishlist to provide needed equipment to make this happen effectively.

So there you have it, Wellspring’s Bayville Campus (DBA Pizza Church) starting 6PM on Jan 2nd, 2022 at Bayville Firehall (645 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville, NJ 08721)

WE LOOK FORWARD TO MEETING YOU
