LEADERSHIP DISTINCTIVES
While churches share much in common in their belief in Jesus, churches also have unique cultures. The following leadership values will tell you something about our unique culture and calling:
We Don’t Lead to Maintain, We Lead to Multiply
We believe the mission of the church is to take prayerful risks. We will do anything short of sin to reach those no one else is reaching. Our leaders move towards multiplication.
True Discipleship is Missional
True knowledge leads to action. We believe when Jesus said to “go” that He meant it! Our leaders help people grow in biblical knowledge that overflows into their lifestyle.
Mission over Methods
The mission is sacred, the methods are not. Hanging on to methods is a pursuit of comfort. Pursuing mission will drive our discomfort. Our leaders will sacrifice methodological comforts for the sake of the mission.
Simplicity Drives Excellence
We want to be excellent at all we do. We believe in giving God our very best. Since we can’t be great at everything, we will pursue simplicity. This is a less is more approach. Our leaders will not try to be all things to all people, but will carry out what God has ordained for them.
Better Together
We will build systems and environments that include as many different kinds of people as possible. The church must grow beyond people “like me.” Our leaders will pursue collaboration over silos.
